SOTTO started with great zeal and enthusiasm in IGIMS in the year 2016 under the leadership of the then Director Prof. (Dr) N R Biswas. Since then we have been working with best of our efforts to make organ donation and transplant process simpler and accessible to all.

We are determined to cover the large population of Bihar who is still unaware of organ donation and are sceptical about it. It is a matter of pride and honour that this opportunity to serve the mankind and a very noble cause came to us by means of SOTTO. 

Nothing can replace this act of humanity that gives a new life to someone who is facing end stage organ failure and is struggling to survive. Organ donation is the best donation one can do. When we are alive we donate so many things that give us pleasure and satisfaction, but what if we can gift a life when we are gone? Nothing can be more satisfying and accomplishing than this. Our team is committed to promote organ donation and transplant activities in Bihar, adjoining states and our country India at large.

Our vision is to achieve maximum deceased organ donation and organ pledging so that organ transplant becomes accessible to all who are in need of transplant. My best wishes to my energetic team members who are working hard and leaves no stone unturned to make this organ transplant programme successful in Bihar.
